RAPHKID

‘RaphKid’ was born in  New Zealand, but has been living in North London for the past 5 years.  He’s been creative all his life but the last 2 years is where he’s really started to focus his attention on art.

At the time I was playing around with symmetrical illustrations and it seemed fitting to place love hearts within the palm of two hands, as I believe this is true concept of what community is. The bright shapes reflect the diversity a community creates which are connected together with a neutral understanding. 

I experiment mostly with pop-art and try to throw a bit of street influence into the mix. I am slowing moving towards bright and bold abstract pieces, as I love how the paint tends to create a range of interesting patterns and marble once mingled. The paintings tend to reflect a memory or emotion of the time, which I hope sparks a distinct memory for the viewer.
